Christmas Christmas time is here!

AHH! It's Christmas season! So exciting! Last year, I was a bit of a downer as I had to work and couldn't go home for the holidays. Granted, I did spend the day with my BFF Emily and her family which was straight amazing. This year, my parents are coming down to the desert for Christmas! Yay! Until then, lets recap. I went to the UA vs. Oregon football game which was AWESOME! We won, which made the game worth the rain :) We also went home for Thanksgiving. We ran a Turkey Trot 5K, ate lots of food and shopped! I absolutely loved spending time with my family and the dogs, which was bittersweet as our beloved Bob, passed away at home on Saturday. I came home the previous Monday and have just been trying to relax and get caught up on Christmas shopping. So far so good! I have had girl time with Hayley and Cara, Spa day with Emily at La Paloma and birthday events for friends! I also went to Phoenix with Emily and her mama, Jean to pick out their brand new puppy!! He is the cutest! Hayley and I also ventured to the northwest side to our friend Cara's house for the CRAZIEST happy hour! Enjoy the slew of photos of these events!

Start: Holiday Season

November 1 = intro to the holiday season! I am SO excited! I've been working a few extra shifts this week and therefore have been pretty exhausted, but I wanted to update my photos before the holiday season officially kicks off! Two big events, Hayley's birthday, and Teresa moving to PA :( I had a blast celebrating both events, although I was much happier to celebrate Hayley turning 27 then celebrate T leaving me! Other than celebrating, I cross-trained in the pediatric ER this week so I'll be able to pick up some shifts over there as well! Exciting stuff. Cody and I went to Prescott two weeks ago for his high school team's 3rd mountain bike race, where they all did awesome! Three more shifts til a few days of freedom and hopefully some more exciting adventures!

Mitten Monday, er Thursday?

Well, it's a breezy 60 degrees in Tucson which is making me miss my Michigan roots. I had the best time enjoying my morning joe with some pumpkin spice creamer on the patio with my main squeeze Hayley. I swear the girl has the best insight into everything. The wisdom in that one is endless. Given my current homesickness for the Mitten, and my impending weekend visit from my college BFFAEAEAE, the one and only Sunny Butler, I thought I would take this opportunity to pull up some of my current favorite mitten themed items for everyone to enjoy.

Fall! Kind of...

Well, it's technically fall. However the only time of day you would actually realize it is very, very early in the morning. To be fair too, the only people who think this constitutes fall are people who live in Arizona, as this "morning chill", is still probably only high 60's. Tucson has been pretty nice this time of year though. You can run outside early in the AM, and still lay by the pool in the afternoon. I have not been taking advantage of this though. I've been too busy seeing concerts, seeing my friends, and visiting Michigan! 

Shortly after my last post, my good friend Lindsay came to town from Oregon, and we were able to grab dinner and catch up. That weekend, I went to the UA vs. NAU season opener with some friends from work. Leslie and I oriented together as new grads, David is a patient care technician and former UA cheerleader, and Alex is a travel nurse who has been in town the last few months.

The following weekend, my best friend Emily and I traveled to Michigan for the Michigan vs. Notre Dame game. It was honestly the most fun I have had in a long time! She is such an amazing friend and no matter what we do together, we have a blast! I'm so blessed to have her. The day after I go back into town, my friend Sarah from work and I went to see Fun. in concert! They truly put on a great show!

The time since has consisted of some get togethers with our friends Mark/Maggie, Vanessa/Keith, Manoli, and Blake, as well as some work events, and a great painting class with Maggie, Vanessa, and Leslie! I've also spent lots of time with my great friend Taylor!

To cap it off, this last weekend, Cody and I went to see Vampire Weekend in Phoenix! Top 5 best concerts of my life! We stayed the night up there, and got brunch in the AM. Cody's mountain bike team that he coaches was having a race up there, so I left him up there and went home for a little get together with some friends! This week is going to consist of pulling my life together and working out at the gym, at least that is the intention. Stay posted for how well that goes!
